Beccahhhface's First Blog!!!!

Hey guys! My name is Beccahhhface! Or Becca...Yeah. I am sixteen and a junior in high school! I play guitar and sing. I'm dating Nick. I watch me some youtube and am a former theater freak. My youtube channel is youtube.com/beccahhhface.

So let me start off with my first two days of school since it wouldn't be a full 10 months if I didn't. Don't worry I'll try to make this quick.

Algebra II - teacher has an annoying voice. A load of people in my class and we ran out of desks. I plan on failing this class. If I don't I must be lucky.

French - Another huge joke of a class. Too many kids and a teacher who is always too happy. Oh well it shouldn't be too bad.

Band - Bandy....lol 15 percussionists which is terribly unnecessary. Sad because our pianist wasn't there *glares at Nick*

Lunch - huge table involving viscous, salty liquids.

History - I don't even remember what happened during this class...

Study - lets not even bother with this one. I sat with one person who made me question everything I did.

English - She seemed nice. I have a few people in my class that I can tolerate. I liked how she handled her lessons.

Word Processing - boooooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg

Lunch - Sat with Nick, Gomezzio, Angela, and Olivia. I was confused and very into mah noms for most of the time.

Chemistry - Mr. G is such an awesome, old army guy. He was funny and he lit things on fire and i have a few people I actually like in that class.

So all in all school is okay. I actually like both days equally. Maybe thats just my chipper outlook on life *slight sarcasm*. So I am very pleased to be an addition to the 10mow team and I will try to be as interesting as possible even though today I wasn't.

Today was awesome because I actually enjoyed chemistry; I thought I'd hate it!

Nick schools people in school

Howdy guys its Nick here welcoming you back to another blog!

In the morning...my bus driver got to our stop a lot earlier today, but we still didnt end up getting to school till like 15 minutes before the bell rang. oh well. hung with Beccah and band pplz.

In English...our teacher, Mrs. (Ms.?) Block was kinda kooky, but i like her. we did the usual Syllabus crap and such and played some game whose name i forget...

In Study Hall...found out that Josh is in my Study Hall, yay! talked with him and did some homework during that class. We had our usual Beatles conversations and such =P

In Music Theory...we had quite a few people in the class, more than St.Georges expected. We went over basic (and boring) stuff, i schooled pretty much everyone else at answering questions and stuff cuz i'm awesome like that, but Dirty Don, Jake, Hugh, and Rex contributed as well (as well as a few other ppl who i forget) yeah, still fun cuz its Music!

At lunch...sat with Beccah, Gomezzio, Angela, and a few other people, we were our usual silly selves, what else is new =P

In Advisory...AKA gossip corner, we did our usual gossiping the entire time, but thats what makes it funnn =D

In Biology...another cool teacher, woo. He did some fancy square-putting-together thing, quite fun actually. He bribed us with candy a lot. and the bribing worked =P

Yay a shorter post than yesterday! well, now that i've had both an A day and an E day so far, i must say that i enjoy all of my classes and all the teachers in them, which is definitely a good thing.

Today is awesome because i have piano lessons tonight! woo!!

Eric's Moving to Greener Pastures.

Ok, lots of content in this post. Lots of important content. But, I guess I'll just start off about my day...

Morning- I was, literally, the first person there. Which NEVER happens. NEVER. Angela was second, and she was wearing a Hunger Games shirt. Then I went to the cubicle. Rhiannon remembered her locker combination... But didn't remember her locker number. How does that happen?

Algebra 2 Honors- I think I'm going to like math this year. I sit next to Rhiannon and in front of Nick. There's only, like ,12 people in the class. None of us even tried on one of the assessments, by the way.

US History Honors- Mr. Decker seems cool. Not sure on how much I'll enjoy the class, but, eh. We took a citizenship test, and I got 10/20. It was nice knowing you all, I'mma gonna go get deported. We got a project assigned. We have to read a book and take quotes from it... Just like our summer work. I might choose 1776. (Hannah knows why.) Or something about some plague, I'm good with that kind of stuff.

Acting- Favorite. Class. Ever. Both Mary and Olivia are in it with me. There's 6 sophomores, and around 10 freshmen. They're not annoying though. First, we wrote our names down for attendance, which "Maresie Waresie" brought down to the audience. Then we all went on stage and stretched and exercised to get our bodies relaxed. (This is the part where Olivia had about 24 instances of That's What She Said.) Then we played "games". First, Mrs. Cinoman put her loved horse bracelet in the middle of the circle, and one of us had to take it, and we'd have to figure out who found it. It was all about lying and being in control of your facade and knowing how to react. Then we played another game, where someone would go behind the curtain and change three things about their appearance, then we'd have to guess what they changed. Olivia was one of the people who changed, I noticed she removed a necklace (not like she was wearing 4 or anything.) Then we did improvisational phone-calls. I was partnered with Alexis. Her character was a snobby girl who pushed my lunch off my tray and wanted my math homework. I was a transfer who wanted friends. Then Olivia, Mary, and Ashley have to improvise and pretend they were playing jump-rope. Very interesting. We got a syllabus, and one of the requirements is that we wear t-shirts, shorts, or jeans. Yea, we have assigned clothing for Acting. Did I mention I love this class?

Lunch- I sat with Angela, Olivia, Whitney, Josh, and Jami. Rhiannon and Kate were in my lunch too, but I didn't get to sit with them. I ate the chocolate Whitney brought back from England for me. She says next time she'll bring me back Galaxy chocolate. SCORE.

Advisory- Isn't it weird how I have advisory right after lunch? So weird. We talked about what we did over the summer, and braces. And that's pretty much it. I missed advisory.

Study- I sat with Mary, Kyle, and Lindsay. I did my history reading and started a sketch. Mrs. Seagren told me how she wanted to see my artwork I did over the summer, and I said "Well, I didn't really do much. Because I've been busy." Which is partly true. Then we had an assembly. Then we went back and finished my sketch.

Bus- I decided I'm going to take the bus this year... Although now I'm not so sure. Kayleigh helped me find it and stuff. It was so crowded. It was unbelievable. There were, sometimes, three people per seat. It was hot. [My canteen had sprung a leak, and I was thirsty.] The worst moment was when we saw the bus next to us, and there were 7 empty seats. How does that work? I turned to Kayleigh in the seat diagonally-behind mine, and asked "Was it always like this?" And Jen, who was sitting across from me, said "You don't even know." Fantastic. At least I'm the second stop.

Ok, that was my first day of sophomore year. Now onto the important stuff.

This is my last post.

My decision to leave my precious blog has not been easy, exactly. There were factors in deciding this. But I think leaving is the most beneficial.

I went to my physical today after school. [By the way, I have great blood pressure.] I told my doctor how sometimes my pinky and part of the neighboring finger go numb, and the numbness goes away when I shake my hand. We both knew that I must have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's nothing big, don't worry. And it really doesn't bother me at the moment. Just the numbness is annoying. But sooner or later, it'll hurt. Maybe a lot. And we both also knew that the cause was too much typing on the laptop. (Since my keyboard is the only place my left hand, which has the numbness, is in full use. And I type oh so often.) My best option is to cut back on using the computer, and I realized how the majority of my typing comes from this blog. I mean, look at all that text I just published. That's a lot. Cutting back any way I can will help.

Also, publishing my day, every day, is not exactly something I look forward to. This year, with all the work I have, along with extra chores and duties, will be tough. I just don't have time. I don't have motivation.

But, I'm moving on to greener pastures. The wonderful world of... video blogs. Or, "vlogs"

Yes, vlogs are perfect. Little to no typing, doesn't take to long, and when you're teaming up with two of the most awesome people in Iowa, you can't go wrong. The channel is here.

Oh yes. Becca's joining the blog. I know we're all excited, but please don't spam the comments about how awesome this is going to be. (Or, do that.) Becca is a junior at our school who sings and plays guitar and cuts her hair. She is also a bloody pirate, and a face.

Now, to sew some loose threads.

Since the blog started, I've, moreorless, been the ringleader. I organized it, I did the descriptions, and all that stuff. Someone is going to need to take care of that. I'm assuming either Danielle or Nick will be, since they've been here since the start. (A change of banner and layout is due. If you need help or a banner or something, you can ask me.)

Angela Goes Up and Down and Up and Down...

It's true...I go from 1st floor to 3rd floor, 3rd to 1st, 1st to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd (yay!!!!), 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to outside. I'm sorry if you couldn't keep up with that. I barely could myself.

IT WAS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

Morning
Walked into the sophomore hallway, saw that Eric was the only one there, so I waved. I embraced my special door. There is this special door in this cubicle that "the group" hangs out in, and it has a draft, and I love to pet it. Yeah...I know I'm weird. Chris and I went downstairs to try and find the nurse...no luck :/ Gave Danielle her Canadian souvenirs!!!! She gave me a New Zealand (our name for a quarter with the eagle on the back)!!!! I was so happy(:

Intro to Business
Mr. Magas is awesome!!! Laid back class. Found Alexis (friend). Received student handbook, computer passwords, and many many papers. Learned that I will get about two homework assignments in his class. That made me happy. Found a paper clip and broke it into three pieces. Gave one to Alexis, offered one to a girl named Angeline. She didn't want it :\

Gym
Got to the gym. There are about 15-18 freshmen and 5 sophomores. I felt so awkward. But I had Whitney and Breanna with me, so I was alright. Donaghy had to take the freshmen to the auditorium for a lecture, so the five sophomores stayed with Ms. Ebner's class. When Donaghy came back, we were told that we would be in health for 6 weeks. He explained how he gives a lot of homework, quizzes, tests, and projects. What can you do?

-Passing-
On the way to Spanish with Whitney, we stopped in Mr. Skigen's room. It went something like this. Me and Whitney excitedly waved at him, his eyes widened, and he waved at us. We started to talk, but had to leave for Spanish.

Spanish 2
There are about 15-18 girls in the class and 3 boys. The classroom was about the size of a slightly large closet. I was shocked. Ms. Silva seemed very nice. We did an oral activity, and she gave the directions in Spanish. I didn't understand a word she said. Out of nowhere, she points at me. Here is the next few moments...

Me: "Ughhh..."
Silva: "Ella es Profesora Silva. Le gusta...."
Me: (spoken in English) "European football?"
Silva: Si...
Me: Soy Angela. Me gusta leer.

I felt so stupid, and I realized I was the only on to say my last name :\

Lunch
I have 3rd lunch both days. Today, I was with Eric, Olivia, Whitney, Jami, and Josh. Some freshmen took our table...grr. We sat farther down. Eric offered part of his crushed coffee cake to Whitney. She was not happy that it was crushed. Throughout the lunch wave, there were three "that's what she said" jokes.

Advisory
We have to do the Sophomore Demonstration...oh and Mr. Phipps wife is having a baby in October! Sarah (girl in advisory) says, "When did you find this out?!?!?" Mr. Phipps reply was "February..." Sarah: "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US?!?!?!!?" Phipps: "Well there were some complications, but it's all fine now. And it's a boy!!!" *He has two girls already.* I am very happy for him :)

Biology
With Alicia, Kevin, and Breanna. Got Dum Dum Lollypops!!! Learned that if you know what DNA stands for, "you get 1 million points!!" "Really?" "Well not in [his] class, but it works in math class :P

One kid answered a question right and Mr. Feige said..

Fiege: "You get a cookie!!!"
Kid: "Really? That's awesome!!"
Feige: "Well not from me..."


I really enjoyed my day.
Today was awesome because it is the first day of school! And because I got a paperclip, a lollypop, and a cookie :)

Danielle Doesn't Like Marbled Stargazer Fish

it was an interesting day. it was kinda hard to get used to things again, then it was hard to get used to this schedule when i kept wanting it to be last year's schedule.

Morning
bus came late cause my bus driver's (Diane) clock was off by 10 minutes. by the way we have new buses this year with higher seats and 2 cameras. i don't really like them. I got to meet Emily's step sister and reconnect a little with my friends on the bus. it was a little weird without Dan though.

English
Mr. Geary didn't seem like he knew what he was doing with the homeroom teacher stuff, but it work out ok. I sit between Josh and Kasey in the first row in the circularly arranged desks. Geary seems cool and he threw book covers in the air at one point and told us to fight over them. when he passed out our 2 books he always skipped me, so i would have to raise my hand to ask for them. we saw freshmen at their lockers and stuff (our class is in their hallway)and Geary told us we could point and laugh and thank God we were no longer them. we all at least did the last part. we listened to him talk about the 4 books he read over the summer and i learned that his eye contact is about as bad as mine. we got a book talk paper after listening to about 7 kids talk about the books they read. so far i like Geary (as i had hoped).

History
got assigned seats. took a short version of the citizenship test. we were told to ask our parents the questions at dinner while we ate chicken to prove they are as stupid as us. i got deported cause i failed. 2 people passed and got lollipops. we learned that we will he stories of Mr. Decker's family a lot cause they annoy him. he has 2 kids: Jackson and Noah. Noah likes to run his head into walls. we got homework and a project.we get weekly quizzes again cause Decker likes what Tomlin does. he seems pretty cool too.

Lunch
first lunch was mostly freshmen. i talked to Tyler, Chris, and Mackenzie. i got to see her driver's permit too! Talked to Mr. M about science and he said i would like Mrs. Fortney.

Biology
got a lot of papers and a packet that said it was Biology, but was actually chemistry (kinda like how my french packet was!). learned that Mrs. Fortney work up this morning to the alarm and her husband elbowing her in the ribs. learned she has 3 kids, 2 of which were named Eric and Erin (who apparently fight a lot). we started a lab.got assigned seats in the beginning (nobody bothered sitting since she told us when we walked in). we did 2 group (table) activities where we had to answer questions with 10 possible answers then wrote 3 on the board per table. we have an online book for this class! She seems ok, just a little hyper.

Advisory
We got a new member named Andrew. I hadn't realized how much i've missed it. we got salt water taffy and talked about our summers. I already know i like Mr. Cooper. I saw him 4 times today including advisory.

Culinary
Assigned seats. put away clean stuff stuff while waiting for the juniors to come back from their assembly so that we could start to read the packets that we got (by the way, the same one that i got for bake shop last year). there were a lot more freshmen in this class than in my old bakeshop class and not as many upperclassmen. we had to go to our assembly while Chris was in the middle of reading the second sentence of the paragraph that he was assigned to read out loud. there wasn't really anything new with the assembly compared to last year, just shorter. we got back in time to hear the end and sit for a while.

Bus
I realized just how slow i was at the beginning of last year by waiting about 10 extra minutes for the freshmen to get on the bus.

i think i about covered everything.

Today is awesome because it was the first day of school.
Today is notsome because of all the work we have already.

PS the fish in the title was a creepy looking fish i saw in the Bio book.

yeahh! i can't really tell if he is Australian or British..oh well, cool all the same!

But anyway, Whats up dawgsss its Nick here comin to you with a 10MOW blog about his first day of sophomore year. yeah its that crazy. i had an overall good day today, so yay on that!

In the morning...my bus (driven by the australian/british guy) got to school about a half hour later than it should havee, but oh well, he said he wouldn't do that ever again =P hung with Beccah and other band pplz for the 3 minutes before the bell rang, cool beans.

In Algebra II...Mr. Cullen passed out administrative crap and his own Algebra-ish stuff. fantastic. not much happened that i rememberrr, so moving on...

In Jazz Improvisation...things just werent the same without the Seniors (of last year)..we have 2 new Freshmen in the class and a 2 (i believe) current Seniors in the class now as well! oh yeah and Skylar the triangle expert hehe XD, so we went over basic Jazz stuffs and other boring things that are boring, but still my favorite class just cuz its Jazz Improvisation! woo!

In Spanish III...our Spanish teacher spoke 99% Spanish the entire class, i guess thats to be expected in Spanish III honors though. oh well it wasn't too bad since i'm a Spanish mastar. it was a big class though, 27 people. we played name games and other sorts of fun activities.

At Lunch...i was yelled at (what the fuck else is new) for not being in Concert Band this year, and i'm freaking sick of hearing it. Sat at the Band/other cool peoples table, and did our usual Band/other cool peoples antics, including me and Skye laughing about 50% of the time =P (lots of percentages in todays post for whatever reasonnn)

In Advisory...same old same old silliness in Mr. Lewis's wonderous advisory =P. Pat trolled me for not being in Concert Band, what else is new. oh and we have a new kid in our advisory, his name is Giovanni. yeah hes pretty awesome.

In US History...Mr. Decker is a pretty cool teacher, i must admit, as all history teachers tend to be. More passing out of projects and homework and Syllabi (Cyllabi?), how exiting. we had an assembly thing in the auditorium in the middle of class, in which Dr. Frank talked about some stuffz. fun.

Not a bad first day of school, not at all. yay i survived.

Today is awesome because i'm about to go to my favorite store that ever existed, Office Maxxxxx!!!! =DDD

Nick's Introduction

Howdy guys its Nick here, and its good to be back! sorry for leaving you guys half way through last year =P I'm 15 and will be a Sophomore as of tomorrow. I am i tyrant bitch so i won't be following the template (if there is one) for this intro. A few things you might need to know about me if you didn't know already is that i play the piano, and stuff. My amazingly awesome girlfriend's name is Becca, you will most likely hear me refer to her throughout these blogs, so thats who she is if u wondered. I am pretty lazy so i might not stick to correct grammar and such all the time, and my posts will be relatively short. sometimes. I like the Beatles. a lot so get used to me making Beatles references a lot..as well as several other references that i dont feel like going into detail about currently.

Angela's Intro

Hi everyone! My name is Angela. I am fifteen years old and a sophomore. My favorite colors are green and orange. I enjoy reading just about anything, but I really love mysteries. Some of my favorite books are Where the Red Fern Grows, Paper Towns, and The Pact: A Love Story. I am a second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do (one form of martial arts), and having been taking karate for about eight years. My only fear in life (that I can think of) is dogs. Honestly, they scare me. Even the little small ones. Thankfully, I am allergic to them, so it is one excuse to stay away from them. I am Catholic, and have completed CCD. I am a Facebook and Skypeaholic. My friends from karate and I are the proud owners of explosive deserts, including explosive pudding, poptarts, and recently, applesauce. Oh, and one last thing you should know about me is that I have a giant pink marshmallow in my freezer with all my friends' signatures on it from eighth grade. I look forward to posting!

Danielle's Introduction 2

Hi, I'm Danielle. I'm 15 years old (since July 27th). I'm a sophomore.

My favorite colors switch between blue and orange. I have a small interest in art since taking a class for it last year. I have a cat named Ashes (or as Eric says 'Patches'). About 2 years ago i saw Wicked on Broadway and have since then been introduced to Rent, Spring Awakening, and Next to Normal by Eric. I am hoping to see another Broadway show sometime soon. My favorite YouTube vloggers are Craig Benzine (wheezywaiter) and John and Hank Green (vlogbrothers). I am also kind of obsessed with the YouTube series PoPS (The Platoon of Power Squadron).

I still don't have a religion (seriously). My family still doesn't have a lot of money.

My music interests are Hank Green, ALL CAPS, rock and roll, and songs from musicals that I like.

I like books about magic and myths and stuff, so if anyone has any book suggestions feel free to leave them in a comment to one of my posts.

It is hard for me to explain things well, especially my thoughts.


So. many of our older followers may notice that this post is similar to my last intro. Sorry, but I don't change much and I needed to follow I kind of rubric usually.

I went to visit the school today with Eric and our friend Josh. I'm a little more excited now to go back and start posting again!

I will try to do better this year!

Today is awesome because I got to visit the school and hang out with friends for a while!

Laura's first day of Junior Year

Yep, today was my first day.. I think it went alright. Not amazing, not awful.

I guess I was kind of in denial about going back, as I waited until Sunday night to go to target to get pencils, pens and a backpack. They didn't have any backpacks I liked though. So this morning before school I had to find a random backpack in my closet and throw some stuff together and go to school :P

3rd - history.

I don't remember anything interesting that happened. My teacher is pretty cool. We filled out a survey on our personal history (I did this in almost every class).

4th - Precalc

Again, I don't remember anything special happening. I filled out another information sheet, and got assigned to write an essay about my Math Class History. Pretty much the only homework I had today though.

Lunch

I have lunch with alot of friends, including my best friend. I ate a granola bar. (bringing way more for lunch tomorrow.. I was so hungry)
When we were done eating inside, we went to go outside and found it was POURING. Like, torrential rain. So we all got soaked and of course no one had jackets or hoodies as earlier that day it had been about 97 degrees. We dried off with paper towels in the restroom.

5th- language and composition

I filled out another questionnaire (lets see how many synonyms for survey I can include in this post). I have this class with alot of people I know. The teacher seems preety nice and cool with people enrolling late and not having finished the summer assignments. yaaay.

6th- Physics

Nothing especially interesting again. Another nice teacher. No question sheet in this class!

7th- Computer graphics

I am a smurf. Yes, in computer graphics, I am a smurf. Are smurfs better then Fraggles? What are Fraggles? O_o.

I filled out a sheet about my history with photoshop. Which is zippo. I'm a Gimp Girl.


I also found out that on thursdays every class is shorter, and we have a 35 minute study/advisory/STAR period (Who knows what STAR means..). But now I get 35 extra minutes at school to do my homework, that will be nice.


After school my mom took me out to eat. i got a milkshake. Then I went home and slept for like 2 hours, haha.

My open house is on thursday.. that's where I'll get a physical copy of it, and room locations. But I pretty much know where most of them will be.


Today is awesome/not awesome because school starts in a week..

Alright so, as everyone who reads this blog (one person) plus the workers, knows that I didn't finish up school last year. I had to do my school online, and mucho-procastinated (still doing it).

I don't have a schedule for next year yet, because I just re-enrolled myself into the actual school.

Physics Honors
Precalculus

I will probably only go for those classes, and make up electives online.
